The Harman Wilde way of living cherishes comfort, nurtures family, finds inspiration in individuality, and celebrates beauty. When these elements coexist in harmony, everyone thrives. And the homes we design for our clients exemplify this.

Our approach is tradition with a twist: classic style with moments of whimsy and flourishes of personality. We are fearless when it comes to mixing patterns and textures. And we carefully weave a family’s history into their home in ways that are subtle yet feel meaningful.

Whether we’re undertaking an ambitious remodel, leading a full-scale restoration, or collaborating with you on construction of a new home, we regard each project as an opportunity to craft a home that reflects your individual personality and lifestyle.

Lifelong residents of Utah, Jason Wilde and Sue Harman established Harman Wilde in Salt Lake City in 2003. Well-designed spaces were the backdrop for Jason’s childhood, and he went on to design custom homes all across the United States. That’s how he crossed paths with Sue. A devoted artisan, Sue parlayed her talent as a seamstress into a career as an interior designer with a deep knowledge of textiles. Their creative partnership is based on mutual respect, setting the tone for everything they do. But they also don’t take themselves too seriously. “We believe you can have a beautiful life and have fun doing it,” says Jason.

    Jason Wilde

    DESIGN PRINCIPLE / FOUNDER

Jason was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in Park City, Utah, where there was more Mayberry and less Aspen.  Jason has always loved artistic and creative outlets.  As a child, his imagination led him to create worlds or creativity inspired by the “Force” of Star Wars and the magic of movies.  While arranging flowers with his florist Grandmother and learning to skip with his British Nana, he was gifted with an early love of beauty and the fun of creativity.  His parents cultivated this creativity and passed on their great taste and style.  No one did the eighties like the Wilde’s!  At the same time, his sister's Barbie House was going through many renovations, including reupholstering the furniture and constructing the kitchen island. Jason began to create his own personal style.

Jason has always been drawn to a more formal interior but lives to prove they can be comfortable and inviting.  Jason’s passion for fabrics and patterns is obvious in his interiors.  Halfway is only halfway there, and “A job worth doing is worth overdoing!”

He listens to and loves his clients and begins understanding how they live in their homes. Jason’s goal has always been to create homes that, when visiting, a guest would never guess he was there but is certain the inhabitants live in this home.
